the operator · market signal

What the market is telling you,one row a week.

How buyers say it versus how your site says it. The sources that leave you out. The objections heard. The rivals the answers repeat. Kept as a dated file, diffed week to week, read first by everything else we write.

How the signal works.

01

The truth file

One structured row per week: buyer language, site language, the gap between them, the citing sources, objections from replies, the rivals named, the questions where you're absent and where you're present.

Rendered to markdown by code. A question against it is a search of its lines — never a model's guess about what it says.

02

The weekly diff

New source leaving you out. Now named for a question you weren't. A rival's new page in the citations. A new objection heard. The diff is the memo's market-signal block.

Nothing new means nothing said.

03

The diagnosis

One word for where the funnel breaks: unseen, unconvinced, unconverted, unretained — or converting. Each needs its read; without analytics or Stripe the word is 'unknown' and names the connection.

The word changes only after three consecutive weeks agree. A bad week never flips your story.

04

The score

Named, cited, placements live, pages live — weekly, with the change. Visitors, signups, trials, paying — monthly, from connected reads only. A missing read prints 'unknown', never zero.

No number without its source.

05

Competitor content

The rivals' own pages the answers cite, week over week. When a rival's new page appears in the citations, you hear which one.

06

What people say on the cited review pages

Sentences from the review and community pages the answers cite, clustered by theme — pricing, support, integrations, ease, reliability — with an example and its source.

The category watcher for video and podcasts is deferred until a customer asks for it.

Beyond the market signal. The whole operator.

Trackers surface the gap and stop. This is one loop — find, produce, place, verify — with the memo on Monday and one decision at a time.

Questions, answered plainly.

Only for the diagnosis and the funnel row. Asked for by a decision card the moment it's needed, with the reason. Never at setup.
