Every question runs against the Responses API with web search enabled — the model reads live results and cites them. The answer, the model, and every cited source are kept in full.
The method line on the report says exactly how the engine was called. A failed call is counted as failed, never as 'not named'.
Named
Your product appears in ChatGPT's answer — by name or a known alias. Counted per question; the report shows named in N of the questions asked.
Cited
Your site is one of the sources ChatGPT's answer rests on. Rarer than named, and worth more: a cited page is quoted, not summarised.
The sources that leave you out
Every source ChatGPT cited in an answer that named a rival and not you: the host, the page, how often. Those pages are the work order.
Weekly, not daily
The free re-check runs weekly, on the weekday of your first check. Paid runs are weekly too, with two samples per question for a steadier read.
